Cambio (the "App") is developed and operated by Matteo Crippa ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

The App is a currency converter that fetches live exchange rates from the European Central Bank. Privacy is a core design principle — the App requires no account, collects no personal data, and uses no analytics or advertising.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We do not collect any personal information. The App is designed to be anonymous and minimal in its network usage:

• No accounts: The App does not require sign-in, registration, or any account creation
• No analytics: We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or telemetry

• No location data: The App does not access your device's GPS or location services

Network Requests

The only network request made by the App is to fetch exchange rates from Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev). This request sends:

• The base currency code you selected (e.g., "USD", "EUR")
• A standard HTTPS request with your device's IP address (as with any web request)

No personal identifiers, device information, or user data is sent with this request. See Frankfurter's privacy policy for details on their data handling.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or share:

• Name, email, phone number, or any contact information
• Device identifiers (IDFA, advertising ID, vendor ID, etc.)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Browsing history or behavioral data
• Payment or financial information
• Account credentials
• Photos, contacts, calendar, or media
• Health or biometric data
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry

How We Use Your Information

Since we collect no personal information, there is no personal information to use. Your selected currencies are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and are never transmitted to us.

Legal Basis for Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we do not process any personal data. All app preferences (selected currencies) are stored locally on your device. The exchange rate API request is made to display live rates — no personal data is processed by us.

How We Share Your Information

We do not share your personal information with anyone because we do not collect any.

• Service Providers: The App has no backend services. Exchange rate data is fetched directly from Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev).
• Legal Compliance: In the unlikely event of a legal request, we have no data to disclose.
• Business Transfers: In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, no user data would be transferred because no user data is collected.

Third-Party Services

The App contains no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services. Specifically:

• No analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.)
• No crash reporting (Sentry, Crashlytics, etc.)
• No advertising (AdMob, etc.)
• No social media SDKs
• No payment processors
• No push notification services
• No remote configuration or A/B testing frameworks

Exchange Rate Data: Exchange rates are fetched from Frankfurter, a free and open API based on European Central Bank reference rates. Only the currency code you selected is sent as a query parameter.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App does not use cookies or any form of tracking technology. There are no web views, no cookie storage, and no fingerprinting mechanisms.

Data Security

All app preferences (selected currencies) are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. The App makes a single network request to fetch exchange rates — no personal data is transmitted.

• On-device storage: Your currency selections are stored locally
• Minimal network: Only exchange rate data is fetched via HTTPS
• App Sandbox: iOS sandboxing prevents unauthorized access by other applications

All app preferences are stored locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App:

Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights:

• Access, correction, deletion — All your preferences reside on your device. You can change them at any time through the app's currency picker or by uninstalling the app.
• Restrict processing — Since no data is processed by us, there is nothing to restrict.
• Object — You may object to processing by ceasing use of the App. No data will have been collected.
• Lodge a complaint — You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

International Data Transfers

Your selected currency code is sent to api.frankfurter.dev to fetch exchange rates. No personal data is transferred across borders.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children — in fact, we do not collect personal information from any user regardless of age.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the application.
